The crew from Houston Public Media TV-8’s Arts InSight recently shot an episode at Hermann Park’s Japanese Gardens, just as Springtime burst on to the scene. Check out these shots from a beautiful day of filming in the park. The next episode of Arts InSight airs April 10, and features stories about the garden, as well as Japan Festival 2014 which takes place on April 12, 13.
Gardeners from Japan fly to Houston once a year to help maintain the garden, and to prune and stake pine trees according to Japanese gardening traditions.
