Houston Early Music: Orlando Consort

Tonight at the Hobby Center, Houston Early Music presents the acclaimed British male vocal quartet, the Orlando Consort, in a Silver Anniversary Performance, Forward to the Past: 25 Years of the Orlando Consort. Catherine Lu chats with Founding Member, tenor Angus Smith.

The Orlando Consort breathes new life into medieval and early-Renaissance repertoire with a program featuring chansons from Guillamume de Machaut’s narrative poem, “Le Voir Dit” (The True Story) and works by singer-composers of the 15th Century, tonight, February 11, at 7:30pm at the Hobby Center’s Zilkha Hall.
