BooTown: “The Curio Show”

Houston Public Media's Troy Schulze talks with BooTown's Emily Hynds and Lindsay Burleson about the group's latest shadow-puppet performance for adults.

Alternative performance group BooTown presents “The Curio Show,” a shadow-puppet play about the secret histories of several objects in a mysterious cabinet of curiosities. Creator/performer Lindsay Burleson and BooTown founder/performer Emily Hynds discuss the inspiration of the piece and the aesthetics and processes of performing their unique style of shadow puppetry.

Final performances: Friday, January 17, 8pm & 10pm; Saturday, January 18, 8pm; 3603 Main St.
