Regina Agu: “Nerve Endings”

Artist Regina Agu talks with Troy Schulze about her current exhibition, which explores hidden histories and the ghostly traces of forgotten communities and symbolic events. "Nerve Endings" is on view through January 11 at Lawndale Art Center.

Regina Agu’s recent work explores layers of historical strata, particularly the suppressed memories buried under years of experience and change. Through site-specific installation and works created through heightened physicality and performance, Agu creates an intriguing dialogue between human memory and an environment’s built-over history. She talks with Houston Public Media’s Troy Schulze.
