The Art Guys Agree On Painting, Again, This Time From Thirty Feet Up

Houston's Jack Massing and Michael Galbreth, the Art Guys, celebrate 30 years of collaboration with the creation of a new performative painting.

On Saturday, December 7, as the final event of their year-long “12 Events” project commemorating 30 years of collaboration, the Art Guys (Jack Massing and Michael Galbreth) scaled a 30-foot scaffold, dipped their hands into buckets of yellow and blue paint, and shook hands as an invited audience watched from below. The paint drips fell on a surface, creating a new work called “The Art Guys Agree on Painting, Again, This Time From Thirty Feet Up.” Houston Public Media’s Troy Schulze was there and captured the video footage above.
