Hi all. I’m preparing a report for Friday’s Houston Matters, but just had to take a moment to share a brief clip with you. I just chatted with Barbara Goodson. The name may not ring a bell, but if you are of a certain age, you will probably recognize her voice. She’s performed the voice for countless characters in live action, cartoons, video games, and Japanese anime. Maybe her most famous role was the voice of Rita Repulsa from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV show.

Check out this ID she just recorded after talking with me on the phone:

Rita – er, rather, Ms. Goodson – will be part of a story Friday on this year’s Comicpalooza, which is co-locating with GalactiCon III, a Battlestar Galactica convention. Goodson and dozens of other actors, cartoonists, and exhibitors are taking part in the festivities this weekend at the George R. Brown Convention Center. We’ll have more Friday at noon on KUHF! Be sure to tune in!
