Bootown: “Damn the Man”

Emily Hynds and Stephen Walker from Bootown describe the theater company’s latest adventure in adapting the 100-year-old Japanese art of Benshi to 21st-century America.  The Bootown team has taken the 1995 teen-angst cult film Empire Records, re-edited it, and written new dialogue, which a cast of actors performs live while the re-worked version of the movie is screened.
