Perspectives 179: “Alvin Baltrop: Dreams Into Glass”

Contemporary Arts Museum Houston senior curator Valerie Cassel Oliver discusses the exhibition Dreams Into Glass, the first major retrospective of the late African-American photographer Alvin Baltrop.  Beginning in the '60s, Baltrop documented a period of turbulent cultural, social and political upheaval in images that are at the same time an intimate and sensual visual diary.
