The 15th annual AFA Summer Music Conservatory for Middle-School and High-School-aged musicians concludes with a sequence of four different concerts.
Students enrolled in the A-F-A’s 2010 Piano Program present their closing recital tonight at Seven O’Clock in the Mabee Theater on the campus of Houston Baptist University on Fondren Road, off the Fifty-Nine Freeway in Southwest Houston.
Lynne Gackle directs the Festival’s Choral Celebration Concert, tomorrow night at Seven at Trinity Episcopal Church on the corner of Holman and Main Street, near the Houston Community College central campus in Midtown.
The young dancers and choreographers enrolled in the Houston Ballet Academy’s summer program perform their original dance pieces to scores created by the high-school-aged composers who have been participating in the A-F-A’s Composition Workshop … on this year’s World Premières Concert … Friday at 7:00PM at the AFA’s home base, Pershing Middle School on Blue Bonnet Boulevard near Stella Link and Bellaire Boulevard.
