Houston Public Radio’s Catherine Lu speaks with Houston-born photographic artist, Dornith Doherty, and with Clint Willour, curator at the Galveston Arts Center. In conjunction with this year’s FotoFest’s Biennial, the Arts Center is presenting the exhibition, Dornith Doherty at Mid-Career: Photographs, 2007 to 2010. The show, organized by Willour, is on view through April 11th in the temporary exhibition space, The Galveston Arts Center.  Listen Download

Opera in the Heights presents Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème. There are performances this week and next at the company’s home, Lambert Hall on Heights Boulevard in the Houston Heights neighborhood. Singers from the production gather in the Geary Performance Studio for a preview session hosted by St. John Flynn.  Listen Download

Artistic Director Holly Vogt Wilkison staged the Pendulum Theatre Company‘s production of the Sam Shepard drama, True West. The play’s cast is led by Managing Director, Houston Hayes, and actor Michael Shukis; they speak with KUHF’s Bob Stevenson.
