Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music presents violinist Eric Halen, clarinetist Thomas LeGrand and pianist Brian Connelly in a Faculty Recital featuring music by Mozart, Debussy, Franck and Berg tomorrow night at 8:00PM in Duncan Recital Hall. Former Houstonian Carmen Cusack plays Ensign Nellie Forbush. Operatic bass-baritone Rod Gilfry is exiled French plantation owner, Emile de Becque, in the National Touring production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, South Pacific, based on the Lincoln Center Theater revival of the show, which is still running on Broadway.  Theatre Under The Stars is presenting South Pacific at downtown Houston’s Hobby Center.
