Emilee Dawn Whitehurst is the Executive Director of the Rothko Chapel. Friday evening at 7:00PM in that sanctified space, mezzo-soprano Sonja Bruzauskas, the Artistic Director of Divas World Productions, and her musical partner, pianist Rodney Waters, present the next recital in their Song Salon Series, Tonal Transcendence: Music and the Struggle for Human Rights. It’s a program of pieces written in response to the plight of people living under the burden of political oppression. Admission to the concert is free.
