Artistic Director Sandra Organ and her Dance Company present James Sewell’s choreographic version of Amahl and the Night Visitors in four performances this Saturday and Sunday in Zilkha Hall at downtown Houston’s Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. KUHF’s Bob Stevenson speaks with Chris Tennison, co-Artistic Director of the Town Center Theatre and actor Santry Rush, who reprises his role as the title character in Merry Christmas, George Bailey, the company’s stage adaptation of Frank Capra’s beloved 1946 Christmas movie, It’s A Wonderful Life, re-set as an old-fashioned radio drama. There are performances tonight and tomorrow night and two shows each on Saturday and Sunday at the Shenandoah Municipal Center, in Shenandoah Texas. KUHF’s Catherine Lu hosts a segment from KUHF’s George Geary Performance Studio with castmembers from The Ensemble Theatre‘s production of  Christmas With Great Aunt, a holiday play-with-music by Bayou City dramatist, Thomas Meloncon. There are evening performances, Thursdays through Saturdays and Saturday and Sunday afternoon matinees through December 27th at The Ensemble Theatre on Main Street in Midtown.
