Gavin Lee originated the character of Bert, the Chimney Sweep, in both the London and Broadway productions of the musical-theater version of Mary Poppins, and is now re-creating the role on the national tour, which is in the final four days of its run at downtown Houston’s Hobby Center … part of this year’s Broadway Across America – Houston Series. KUHF’s Bob Stevenson chats with him about his role and the production.
