Tim Armacost and the New York Standards Quartet perform tonight and tomorrow night at 9:00PM at Cézanne, on Montrose Boulevard, near Richmond. Saxophonist Woody Witt, the club’s Entertainment Director, will sit in with the band. Armacost and his Quartet gather in KUHF’s Geary Performance Studio for a preview session hosted by Eric Ladau. Listen Download

Uptown Dance presents Dance Infusion, the first program of its second season as a professional company. Their evening of modern and classical ballet, jazz and contemporary dance includes a guest appearance by Houston’s Revolve Dance Company, and the World Première of In the Moment, a new work by Uptown Dance Company’s Artistic Director, Beth Gulledge-Brown. There’s one performance at Sunday at 6:00PM in Zilkha Hall at downtown Houston’s Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Gulledge-Brown and one of her dancers, Phoebe Waggoner chat about the program with KUHF’s Chris Johnson.
