Aurelie Desmarais is the person who, in consultation with Music Director Hans Graf, selects the repertoire for the Houston Symphony‘s Classical Series concerts. The Symphony is one of the nine major downtown performing-arts groups that will host the 16th annual Houston Theater District Open House on Sunday, August 30th, from 12 until 4 PM. The Grand Finale of the Open House will be a free performance by the Symphony at Jones Hall at Four O’Clock, when Associate Conductor Robert Franz and the Orchestra play portions of works that will be included complete on Classical Series, Pops and Family concerts during the coming season.
