It's our annual all-American celebration of Independence Day! We bring you two studio performances. The Paragon Brass Ensemble treats us to Sousa Marches, Brass Band Music, and Americana from the early 20th Century … and The Blue Gnus loosen things up with home-grown Jazz from the 20’s and 30’s…


The Paragon Brass Ensemble performs marches, brass-band selections, classic jazz, and other Americana from the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Houston Public Radio’s overnight announcer and your gracious host at numerous community events — Eric Ladau — will emcee tomorrow afternoon’s free Fourth of July family festivities at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s house museum, Bayou Bend and also hosts todays preview segment in the Geary Performance Studio. Eric Ladau also hosts a preview segmet with The Blue Gnus. They will also play tomorrow afternoon at Bayou Bend. Their cocnert of jazz from the 20’s and 30’s conclude tomorrow afternoon’s festivities. Listen. Download.
