KUHF’s Chris Johnson moderates a conversation with the three principals involved in the final concert of the 20th anniversary season of performances for the Texas Music Festival. Barry Jekowski, the Music Director of the California Symphony, conducts and, on the program, Elmar Oliveira is the soloist in the Violin Concerto by Samuel Barber. The TMF Orchestra presents the Texas première of a new Symphony by composer Christopher Theofanidis, who earned his doctorate degree at the U.H. Moores School of Music, and in the years since has been awarded The Rome Prize, and Guggenheim, Fulbright, Tanglewood and American Academy of Arts and Letters Fellowships. Listen. Download.
