We follow a group of visual artists as they venture into a field other than the one they're best known for … as we look at sketches, studies and other works on paper by seven artists who've generally made their name as painters. A collection of their drawings is currently on display in the exhibition, Beneath the Seen, at the Wade Wilson Art gallery…

Houston Public Radio’s Catherine Lu speaks with Andrea Cody, the Executive Director of Dance Houston … and with flamenco dancer, Laura Uribe, of the Alegría Dance Company. Ms. Uribe is one of more than one-hundred performers who will participate in Dance Houston’s 2009 Cinco de Mayo celebration, Vida del Baile — Life of Dance, an eclectic, high-energy showcase of a variety of Latin dance styles … to be presented tomorrow evening at 7:00PM in the Cullen Theater of the Wortham Center. Bayou City Concert Musicals presents its Spring 2009, series of Cabaret Nights: You’re the Cream in My Coffee: The Music of DeSylva, Brown and Henderson. There are performances on three consecutive Monday evenings at 7:30PM — beginning tonight — in the Performance Centre at The Ensemble Theatre.
