Kenn McLaughlin is the Producing Artistic Director of Houston’s Stages Repertory Theatre. Pierre Jalbert is a composer on the faculty of Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, and one  the founding members of the Board of Artistic Directors of the contemporary-music society, Musiqa. They discuss the collaboration between the two organizations with KUHF’s St. John Flynn.  Lighting the Way, a program of contemporary chamber pieces — including Professor Jalbert’s 1998 Piano Trio — and excerpts from Pulitzer-Prize-winning plays, read by Mister McLaughlin and another Stages-affiliated actor, Eva LaPorte. Listen. Roy Hamlin is the director the Unhinged Productions staging of Adam Bock’s comedy, Five Flights, in which actor Josh Taylor has the lead role of Ed.  They chat with Bob Stevenson about the play which has performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00PM through March 28that the Freneticore Theatre … in an unassuming-looking warehouse building on Navigation Boulevard, just south of Lockwood on the city’s East Side.
