Special holiday program highlights include:
Holiday Favorites with The Houston Symphony
KUHF and the Houston Symphony will ring in the season with a heartwarming music celebration. On December 17th, KUHF will broadcast A Very Merry Pops! featuring holiday favorites with conductor Michael Krajewski. And on Christmas Eve, hear your favorite choruses and solos from Handel’s Messiah, with the Houston Symphony Chorus and conductor Bernard Labadie. Both concerts are hosted by Dean Dalton.

Christmas Revels
Discover the magic of Revels, as they lead children and adults alike to discover the timeless traditions of different cultures throughout the world. This holiday season, Revels honors traditions from the time of Shakespeare with an Elizabethan Celebration of the Winter Solstice through music, dance, song, and storytelling.

Hanukkah Lights: Stories of the Season
For more than 15 years, NPR has celebrated Hanukkah with original stories inspired by the Jewish festival of lights. Hosted by NPR’s Susan Stamberg and Murray Horwitz, each year Hanukkah Lights marks the age-old Jewish celebration with contemporary fiction.

Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
This legendary service, which for many people around world marks the beginning of Christmas, is based around nine Biblical readings and is presented live each year from King’s College in Cambridge, England. The two-hour special service, is performed by the 30-voice King’s College Choir.

New Years Day From Vienna
NPR’s nationwide broadcast of the Vienna Philharmonic’s beloved traditional New Year’s Day Concert. The concert is broadcast direct from the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna, Austria.
