Three Texas composers and the Moores School of Music’s resident musical biographer gather in our studio to celebrate the eightieth birthday of their teacher and role-model, Juilliard-School composer, Samuel Adler, who will be honored with two different performances of his music, tonight and tomorrow night at the University of Houston. Also, the manager of the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, Marlana Walsh, and choreographer Priscilla Nathan-Murphy talk about Houston Met’s sixth annual evening of dynamic and slightly-off-the-wall contemporary dance pieces, Quirky Works, which will be presented tomorrow evening at downtown Houston’s Wortham Center.
