It was an eclectic mix of music and art on today’s program as Houston ballet presents the program Moby in Motion set to music by the famed DJ/Electronica artist. There where also excerpts from the Masquerade Theatre production of South Pacific in addition to a cocnert recording of muic by Mendelssohn on a historical piano. . .

The Houston Ballet opens it’s Spring Mixed-Repertory program this week. It’s called Moby in Motion and features the company’s first performances of Artistic Director Stanton Welch’s Play, with music from the album of the same title by the much celebrated DJ/Techno artist Moby. Performances start tonight and run through June 4th in the Wortham Center. Audio here.

Cast members from the Masquerade Theatre production of the Rogers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific supplied the live music from the KUHF Performance studio. Listeners to today’s program heard several of the favorite songs from the show which recieves performances through June 4th in the Hobby Center‘s Zilkha Hall. Audio here.
