Red, White and Blue: 85th Texas Legislative Recap

The 140 day session of the 85th Texas Legislature came to a close earlier this week with unresolved bills that may have our legislatures reconvening for a special session. Out of the 824 bills that reached Governor Greg Abbott’s desk, 190 of them were signed into laws. But political watchdogs criticize that lawmakers failed to pass bills on major issues such as property tax reform and the “sunset bill”.
