Houston Public Radio Presents KUHF Chamber Music Ensemble Concert

Houston Public Radio presents the KUHF Chamber Music Ensemble in concert at Rienzi, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston's center for European decorative arts on Monday, November 5, 2007. Featuring 19th Century chamber music, the ensemble is comprised of public radio employees and supporters of the station.

Familiar voices from Houston Public Radio are represented in the KUHF Chamber Music Ensemble including violinists, Chris Johnson and Catherine Lu as well as violist, Tom Molloy. The station's Director of Development, Victor Kendall, also serves as the ensemble's flutist.

Now in its fourth year, the group has performed throughout the Bayou City Area. The ensemble's concerts in the intimate setting of the Museum of Fine Arts' Rienzi and the Menil Collection have become increasingly popular.

Rienzi is the center for European decorative arts at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Comprising a remarkable art collection, a house, and gardens, Rienzi was given to the Museum by arts patrons Carroll Sterling Masterson and Harris Masterson III. Rienzi is also one of the stops on the 70th Annual Azalea Trial sponsored by the River Oaks Garden Club.

The evening will include a reception at 6:00 pm with the concert starting at 7:00 pm. The Museum of Fine Arts' Rienzi is located at 1406 Kirby Drive in the Montrose Area. The concert is free but reservations are required, please call 713-639-7800.
