U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Luisa Deason says an anonymous call led agents to the house in North Houston Wednesday.
"The home was in extremely deplorable condition. There was no furniture inside the home; there was a really bad smell. The five bedrooms inside the residence were locked. The aliens were not free to come and go and of course they were under guard."
Deason says the illegal immigrants will be questioned about how they got here and where they crossed the border among other things. She says criminal background checks will also be made. Deason says the agents also arrested nine other people suspected of being involved in human smuggling.
