Monday on The Front Row

Susan Mentzer has recently been appointed to the faculty of Rice University's Shepherd School of Music and will sing the song cycle Sifting Through the Ruins set to texts paying tribute to lost loved ones that she found posted in the area around Ground Zero. She joins us for a preview and discussion of those songs, live, in the KUHF Performance Studio. . .

Also on Monday's edition of the program,ξNancy Curtis and Roger Keele, the Artistic Directors of the Saint Cecilia Chamber Music Series, will join us to preview the first recital on their 2006-2007 season, an unusual program of works for Brass Quintet, Voice and Organ.ξ

Join us each weekday afternoon at 3:00 for an up-close look at the Houston area arts scene on The Front Row.

KUHF's latest internet offering includes a weekly excerpt fromξour archive of local concert recordings. It's part of the newξThe Front Row Performance of the Week Podcast.
