AT&T says it’s looking to fill nearly 290 job openings immediately, the majority of which are new positions.
Carlos Ramirez is the company’s South Texas spokesman, based in Houston.
“The jobs range from everything between entry-level to management positions in our retail stores, positions at our call centers, and in the IT, engineering, and technology divisions. Almost all of them are full time with benefits.”
The hiring campaign is the latest phase of AT&T’s efforts to expand operations across Texas.
The company invested $7 billion between 2010 and 2012 to build out its statewide wireless and wired networks.
The company hired more than 4,000 employees in Texas last year, bringing its total workforce in the state to more than 35,000.
