Westbury High School Student Arrested For Making 'Terroristic Threat'

The student, Rodney Joseph Sauls, 18, is charged with making a “terroristic threat,” according to HISD. That is a state jail felony and carries a maximum possible sentence of two years in a state jail.

Sauls was appearing Monday at the Harris County criminal courthouse on an unrelated matter when he was arrested.

Chief Jimmie Dotson says tips from students helped make the arrest. He says HISD police are still investigating the case. Bomb threats have forced students to evacuate Westbury High School six times this month.
