The carmaker plans to spend at least $42 million this year and next on renovating its six Houston-area dealerships. John Roth is Cadillac’s South Central regional director.
“Houston has actually moved past Dallas/Fort Worth as being a larger luxury market, and Dallas has held onto that number three position in the country from a luxury standpoint for quite some time. So they’ve really moved up the scale, and a lot of that economic growth in Houston is translating into more vehicle sales and greater luxury growth.”
Cadillac plans to hire dozens more sales people, technicians, and inventory managers to staff its local dealerships. Roth says competing luxury car dealers in Houston are likely to do the same.
