Kauffman, Accenture Offer Entrepreneurship Training For Vets

This will be the second course offered in Houston since Kauffman FastTrac began operating under a grant from management consulting firm Accenture.

Marylyn Harris will be facilitating the class. Harris served as an Army nurse for eleven years, including the first Gulf War. She now runs a health care consulting firm here in Houston.

“You start to learn the language of business. You start to develop your business plan. You learn about marketing. You learn about strategy. You learn about business management. And we also bring in guest speakers that the veterans in the course can connect with after the course and continue to grow their businesses.”

There are twenty spots in the new class, which runs from September 26 to December 5. Kauffman will be offering the course online for those who don’t make the cutoff. More information is available at www.fasttrac.org/veterans.

Update as of September 10th, 2012 at 11:50 a.m.: The online course is filled. In-class seats are still available.
