Sugar Land Gets Ready For The Rocket To Launch

The 50-year-old former Astro has been getting ready for his start against the Sugar Land Skeeters all week, jogging in Memorial Park and even playing softball a couple of times.

Roger Clemens will take the mound tomorrow night at Constellation Field in front of a full house. Tickets to the game sold out within hours of his announcement earlier this week and some buyers have now resold their tickets for big profits.

Clemens says he's out to have fun as he pitches in a professional game for the first time in 5 years. He says he's not ready to make plans for the future yet.

"I've got to get through Saturday. I'm sure I'll break some adhessions out there, but we're going to have fun with it. The guys have seen me throw. I think I can compete a little bit."

Houston Astros owner Jim Crane has said this week that he's consider letting Clemens pitch for the Astros this season. Houston is having the worst season in franchise history and has the worst record in baseball right now.
