Houston Businessman Indicted In Deaths Of Two Truck Drivers

Prosecutors announced a federal grand jury in Beaumont has indicted Port Arthur Chemical and Environmental Services and 41-year-old Matthew Lawrence Bowman of Houston.

The thirteen-count indictment alleges Bowman schemed to transport hazardous materials without proper documentation and failed to protect employees from exposure to hazardous gases. It says hydrogen sulfide exposure caused the deaths of two truck drivers in December 2008 and April 2009.

Bowman was president and owner of the company that operated until November 2010.
