Ethnomusicology at the Movies...This weekend we're featuring the music of Maurice Jarre. Many know him from his score to Lawrence of Arabia or Doctor Zhivago. Actually he wrote much more music, all the way until the early 2000's. And, like fellow composer Jerry Goldsmith, used synths is much of his score; but as a musical ensemble. Tune in to explore this fantastic composer and how his teachings in musical styles from around the world contributed to his successful film career.
