The sound of baseball is back in Houston. And even though the past few seasons have been disappointments...fans are optimistic about the new season under new manager Brad Mills.
Well, sort of optimistic. Here's longtime fans Royce Harris and Trace Eden.
"Well he came from a winning team, so hopefully he'll bring a winning season here. I hope he does."
"I certainly hope they play over five hundred ball. But they're in the growing stage and the pitching is not as strong as we'd like, but I think we'll be OK."
Josh Farrell is also hoping for a playoff team. He thinks the chances of that happening are about 70 percent.
Stamps: "How big of a fan are you?"
"Oh born and raised in Houston. Twenty five years. It's been rough but you have to stick through it."
As for the players and coaches themselves...no one really wants to talk specifically about how the team will do. This is manager Brad Mills.
"We just want them to play up to their capabilities. If we start putting numbers on wins or you know they have to do this or start focusing on mistakes on a nightly basis, or whatever. We have to look at what we can do, because there's a lot of talent here."
The team hopes its play on the field will speak for itself.
