Rhonda May says if you're looking for country western jewelry and accessories, be sure to stop by their booth at the rodeo. The year just started and they've already done several shows.
"It's a good life if you want to live on the road."
For many vendors '09 was a down year due to the economy, but May says they can already tell things are going to be better in 2010.
"Fortunately, we feel blessed that we've had good shows. We had a better show in Fort Worth this year than we did last year and we had a better show in San Antonio this year than we did last year too. sSo we're hoping and praying that Houston will be good to us too."
As for the rodeo, President Skip Wagner says they plan to put on a good show the next few weeks.
"Its gonna be bigger and better than ever both in the livestock show and in the rodeo, particularly in Reliant Stadium, we have high definition screens throughout. We've got even better sound than what we've had before and we've got what we think is out best lineup ever of both cowboys and rodeo entertainers, concert stars."
Some of those stars include Kenney Chesney, Tim Mcgraw, Mary J. Blige and the Black Eyed Peas. And if you want a good laugh Wagner says there's this thing called mutton busting. Youξhave toξcheck it out.
"Mutton busting is where you've got four to six year old kids who ride sheep in a mini arena and it is the funniest, craziest thing you've ever seen."
Crews are still busy with theξfinishing touches. It all starts tomorrow and lasts through the 21st.
