The University of Texas fight song. Longhorn fans hope they'll be hearing that a lot tonight after the team scores lots of touchdowns. And whether they're at a sports bar or at home, many of them will be decked out in Texas attire from head to toe. Mellisa Foster and her husband were shopping this morning at the University Coop in Uptown Park. If it says longhorns on it you'll probably find it there.
"We're just big Texas fans. I mean we obviously have our shirts on and my husband has his pants on already so, we're gonna shop for the kids a little bit."
Manager Dora Ramirez says there was a line of cars waiting for them to open at ten this morning. And what are people buying?
"Just mainly gear, outerwear. A lot of people were shopping before the game. A lot of people flew out already but they were shopping for outerwear because of the cold weather for the game. Right now the people are shopping for T-shirts, anything really to show their team spirit."
It was Randy Vanscoy's first time at the store. For this longhorn fan it was like a kid in a candy store.
"I'm gonna be here for awhile."
Bill: "You're in heaven, huh."
"I got paid last night so, I'm in heaven."
And who does he think will win?
"I'm hoping UT. They gotta bring their A-game though. Cause Bama is gonna come and play hard."
Bill: "And you're going to be decked out in all your stuff?"
"Oh yeah, I got my pajama bottoms at the house, washed and ready to go."
