Elise Judson and Peter Franc will dance the lead roles of The Sugar-Plum Fairy and The Prince, respectively, in the December 12th matinee performance of Houston Ballet's 2009 staging of its popular holiday production, The Nutcracker.ξMs. Judson will also appear as the little girl, Clara, in four evening performances, during the second half of December.ξIn fact, Houston Ballet will present The Nutcrackerξ35 ξtimes between this coming Friday evening and Sunday, December 27th, at downtown Houston's Wortham Center. Liz Cascio plays Lala in Main Street Theater's new production of Alfred Uhry's 1997 Tony-Award-winning play, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, which was stage-directed by Steve Garfinkel.ξThere are evening performances, Thursdays through Saturdays and 3:00PM Sunday matinees through December 20th.ξAll performances take place in Main Street's Rice Village playhouse on Times Boulevard.
