Sarah Loudermilk is the Executive Director of the chamber-music society, Da Camera of Houston, which presents the majority of its recitals of classical and contemporary-music and jazz in the Cullen Theater of downtown Houston's Wortham Center.ξ Da Camera, along with the Houston Symphony, Ballet and Grand Opera, the Alley Theatre, Society for the Performing Arts, the Uniquely Houston Series, Broadway Across America and Theater Under the Stars welcome one and all to their sixteenth annual Houston Theater District Open House, this Sunday. Houston attorney and oil-company executive Jeff Steen was painter and illustrator Buck Schiwetz's patron for the last twelve years of the artist's life and is a serious collector of the work of Mister Schiwetz, who died in 1984.ξ Tam Kienhoff is a member of CASETA, The Center for the Advancement and Study of Early Texas Art, and one of the co-curators of the exhibition, Miles and Miles of Texas: The Lone Star State Through the Eyes of Buck Schiwetz, on view at the Heritage Society Museum.
