Sidney Berger is the founder and director of the Houston Shakespeare Festival.ξHe also stage-directed this year's production of Twelfth Night, which opens the thirty-fifth edition of the Festival with a performance this Friday evening atξ8:30PM at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park.ξAlley Theatre resident company member Paul Hope appears in the play as Malvolio, the steward to Countess Olivia. There will be five performances of Twelfth Night in all; it will be presented every other evening, beginning Friday and continuing through August 8th, alternating with performances of this year's other Shakespeare Festival offering: Pericles, Prince of Tyre. Stages Repertory Theatre presents Roger Bean's jukebox musical-comedy revue, The Andrews Brothers, featuring hit songs of theξ1940's made famous by the era's popular vocal trio, The Andrews Sisters.ξThere are evening performances, Wednesdays through Saturdays, and Sunday matinees, throughout the months of July and August.
