Weaver pleaded guilty to three counts of felony murder and one count of first degree arson. She received a 25-year prison sentence.
John Jocher is Harris County Assistant District Attorney. He calls it a fair resolution.
"There's nobody who is connected with this investigation who believed that she intended for people to die in this fire. We tried to arrive at what we believed was a fair punishment for Ms. Weaver. 25 years aggravated time, we believe, is just that."
Weaver had faced a maximum life in prison for each count. She will be allowed to report in January to begin her sentence.
