The end result is Park-and-Ride.
"Current planning is to have lots leaving out of the Katy area into the medical center from the Sugar Land area into the medical center."
Shelton says the Katy location is still not certain.
"The only one I know for sure Rod is Sugar Land on the 59 corridor. We will use the UH park and ride lot. The busses will start from there and cross over to Highway 90-A and take that directly on up into the medical center. We're working on some lots on the 90-A corridor as well to serve the residents of what we call old Sugar Land. And then we're looking for another location in the vicinity of Katy Mills Mall."
Shelton says the Sugar Land route will cost 3.50 each way and the Katy run will 4 dollars each way. The service is set to begin in August.
