Smartphone App Documents Evidence At Accident Scenes

A new app for your smartphone or tablet has been introduced that can be helpful after an accident.

The free app contains medical records, emergency contact information and tools that can help document accident scenes for potential insurance and injury claims. Emergency information can be accessed by first responders through the “My ICE” icon. Laureen Bagley is with Sloan, Bagley, Hatcher & Perry, a law firm with Houston offices, which introduced the app.

“Whether it’s a car wreck or if you’re at work and you’re injured, EMS can get your medical information and contact your loved ones.”

The app includes a global positioning satellite-enabled locator and also allows for camera and audio recording of evidence at the scene.

“There is a witness tab with a little microphone and they can automatically record witness statements. There’s also a recording mecanism to video the scene — skid marks, positions of vehicles. Those are all sorts of things that would help someone establish their claim.”

The Sloan Firm Injury App can be downloaded for iPhone and Android devices.
