Officer J.R. Johnston describes the November 28 incident:
“The victim Jose Rivas Bonilla was at the carwash at approximately 11:15 a.m. the was approached by the suspects who attempted to rob him during the course of the robbery Jose managed to break free from them and attempt to flee from them and as he was fleeing he was shot by the suspects one of the suspects.”
One suspect is a Hispanic male in his late teens or early twenties — six feet tall and about 150 -160 pounds, last seen wearing light gray hoody, dark sunglasses and baggy blue jeans.
A black male in his twenties was also seen — about 6-1, thin, wearing a beard, last seen wearing a black or dark colored hoody and baggy blue jeans.
Police ask witnesses to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-tips. There’s a $5,000 reward.
