The average price for a gallon of regular has fallen .03¢ in Houston from last week. It’s now down to $3.19 a gallon. Analyst Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy.com says that’s despite the fact that crude oil prices are rising.
“We continue to see volatility in oil prices. And that may be part of the reason, is that last week prices dropped very low, but then as the week progressed, prices at least crude oil prices, rallied.”
And that means drivers could see higher or lower prices for the busy Thanksgiving travel week.
“Average gas prices Thanksgiving weekend could be anywhere from $3.15 to $3.30 a gallon.”
Nationwide the average price per gallon stands at $3.43, down nearly three cents from last week.
