Rick Casey recently bid farewell to his job as the metro columnist for the Houston Chronicle. He wrote three columns a week for eight years. Casey stopped by the KUHF Studios to reflect on his time in Houston. Morning Edition host David Pitman asked Casey where he got the ideas he needed to write all those columns.
Casey has an apartment in Houston, but splits most of his time between fixing up a ranch in the town of Bandera, and working on a weekly public affairs show for the PBS station in San Antonio.
