Perry’s Exotic Election Party

Governor Rick Perry will be waiting on campaign results at the Exotic Game Ranch south of Austin this evening. Ed Mayberry joins us from where state Republicans are gathering.

The Exotic Game Ranch is set in the middle of Texas Disposal Systems recycling acreage south of Austin, near Buda. Exotic game walks about outside this convention facility. Governor Perry’s campaign spokesman Mark Miner says they didn’t want the usual ballroom in a downtown hotel.


It’s all very Austin, with live music set to begin at about seven, as campaign workers and candidates watch and listen to election returns. The governor will speak at ten tonight, and we’ll be hearing from the Republican candidates for lieutenant governor, attorney general, comptroller, and other statewide GOP candidates — all due to arrive here over the course of the evening.
