The building is a student dormitory under construction.  Houston fire assistant Chief Omero Longoria says eight people were trapped inside the building.

Those three people are still on the scene — in triage.

All the people involved in the accident are believed to be construction workers. Houston Fire Department has cleared the area and says all workers are now accounted for.

Rice University officials say they don’t know what caused the accident, but it appears it may have been caused by strong winds in the area.

An investigation will begin immediately into why the wall collapsed.
