Early Voting Underway for Run-off Elections

Early voting for the Democratic and Republican Primary runoff began
today and will run through April 4th.

Both parties have at least two
contests. The number of polling locations on Election Day will be
reduced so voters are urged to participate in the early voting period.
Spokesperson for the Harris County Clerk’s office
Hector de Leon says if voters participated in the March 4th
election they must vote within the same party.

“Any voter that did not vote on March 4th is eligible to vote
in this primary election and they can vote in what ever parties
primaries runoff that they choose. But they can’t vote in both.
They can choose one but not both. And then everyone that voted in
a particular parties primary on March 4th can vote again, but they have
to vote in same parties primary that they voted first round on March 4th.”
