The joint ER will serve residents of The Woodlands and Tomball. It’s an area that’s expected to grow
by 20 percent over the next five years. Steve Sanders is CEO of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands.
He says both hospitals wanted to expand emergency services.

“We decided that why should we compete with one another and why don’t we come together and provide a much-needed service to our respective communities. Both our service areas overlap. The location of this emergency center is exactly ten miles from the Tomball Hospital and ten miles from The Woodlands Hospital.”

The center will be located on Woodlands Parkway at Hwy 2978. It’ll include 8 to 10 emergency treatment rooms, a CT scanner, diagnostic x-ray and a lab.
